Downton Lodge has been meticulously and faithfully restored and refurbished to its original period style whilst also including the many 21st century luxuries we all like to enjoy. We are set in a secluded position down a peaceful farm lane – just a mile from the charming village of Dittisham with its two excellent pubs, village shop and access to the river Dart in Dartmouth.

All our rooms have been decorated to a high standard and we have tried to include everything we can to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Every room has beautiful countryside views over rolling farmland to the sea in the distance at the mouth of the river Dart. One of the doubles and the twin room have lovely balconies.

Strete Barton House, Strete - is a 16th Century Manor House which is home to an AA 5 star rated luxury guest house/bed and breakfast set in extensive grounds in the picturesque village of Strete, near Dartmouth in the South Hams area of Devon. Panoramic sea views across Start Bay from Start Point light-house to the mouth of the river Dart. Ideally situated to explore the South Hams; only one mile from the award winning beaches of Slapton and Blackpool Sands, Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and lake. The Royal Oak is an award winning local community inn specialising in good quality real ales and outstanding food. Chef Proprietor Andrew has developed a justifiable reputation over the last few years with his vision of offering "restaurant food at pub prices". Now with the expansion of the restaurant Simon Wardle has joined the team as the new Head Chef. His team of talented young chefs prepare all meals on the premises using only the freshest ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. Chillington House, Chillington
Adam & Jeannie welcome you to Chillington House. Situated on the coastal road between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, in the picturesque village of Chillington. The perfect location for exploring the South Hams.
Our nine comfortable ensuite rooms are spacious and decorated in a relaxed style. The rooms have king size beds, to avoid any squabbles for the duvet! All the bedrooms are equipped with a 32 inch television, tea and coffee making, allocated on-site parking space and wifi facilites. We have a disabled access room with four other bedrooms on the ground floor. Cots and high chairs are available. There are many lovely long and short walks right from our front door which is perfect for those making use of our three dog friendly rooms.
Our delicious breakfasts include a large buffet of yoghurt, fresh seasonal fruit, muesli, cereals, freshly baked bread with Jeannie's home-made jams and home-made fruit compote. Cooked breakfasts are freshly prepared to order by chef Adam with locally sourced ingredients served in the conservatory.
